What happens to your PDF?
pebblePDF processes the PDF you choose inside your browser. The editor does not upload the file or its contents to a document-processing server.
Your file and your edits
Your file is read into browser memory. Editing, PDF rendering and English text recognition run on your device. The app does not maintain a cloud copy or a document history. Download your edited PDF before closing or refreshing the page. Your original file is not overwritten.
No account needed
You can open, edit and download a PDF without registering. The editor does not ask for your name, email address or payment details.
Connections used by the website
Your browser downloads the website, PDF libraries and fonts needed to run the editor. English text recognition may download a language model from a third-party content delivery network. These requests download software resources; the editor does not send your PDF contents with them.
As with other hosted websites, the hosting provider may process ordinary connection information such as IP addresses and request logs. This is separate from your PDF content.
Analytics and local preferences
This version does not include advertising trackers or app analytics. Some interface components may remember display preferences on your device. These are not stored PDF documents.
Shared devices
The downloaded PDF is saved by your browser to your device. If you use a shared computer, check where you save that file and remove your downloaded copy when you are finished.
